The consultancy behind the school.

Most of what this school teaches was learned on client work; the consultancy is where that work continues. We build models you keep, we train teams who stop needing us and we lend senior hands when a deadline turns serious.

Trusted by organisations including

  • Rolls-Royce
  • Transport for London
  • Anglo American
  • University of Oxford
  • First Mode
  • Mytra

01 The work

Three ways to engage.

From full delivery to an hour of advice; every engagement is designed to end, leaving your team stronger than it found them.

  1. Custom simulation build

You know the questions that need answering; we build the model that answers them, then hand you the keys. The result is robust, extensible and genuinely usable, never a black box that only its author understands.

    How an engagement runs

    • We scope the problem together before a line of code is written
    • The model is built collaboratively, with design decisions explained as they are made
    • Handover is part of the job: your team can run, maintain and extend the model without us
    • Optional ongoing maintenance plans, always with upskilling as the destination

Suited to organisations that need a working simulation quickly, built to professional standards, with full knowledge transfer.

  2. Group SimPy training

Two days of intensive, hands-on training that takes a team from first principles to working models. The slides are rationed; the exercises are not.

    What is included

    • A comprehensive SimPy curriculum written for technical professionals
    • Hands-on exercises modelled on genuine project challenges
    • Complimentary School of Simulation platform access for every participant
    • Certificates of completion for each attendee
    • Bespoke modules where your objectives or industry context warrant them

Suited to teams who want a shared, durable simulation capability rather than one resident expert.

  3. Surge support and project assistance

Senior help by the hour, for the moments a project needs it most: a customer deadline that moved, a model that misbehaves or an architecture decision that refuses to make itself.

    Where we lend a hand

    • Carrying stalled projects over the finish line
    • Developing and integrating new features
    • Strategic advice on model design and architecture
    • Re-architecting simulations that have grown unwieldy
    • Temporary reinforcement for an overstretched team

Suited to teams that need depth on demand, without the ceremony of a long procurement.

02 In their words

From people who have seen the work up close

Harry is the ultimate professional when it comes to simulation. I had the privilege of working alongside him at Anglo American, where he led the creation of a cutting-edge simulation product from scratch. Harry's ability to bridge simulation, software and systems engineering while keeping everything practical and results-focused is unmatched. If you're considering learning simulation from Harry, you couldn't be in better hands.

Chris Samiullah Technical Programme Manager at Pydantic

Harry's expertise spans the entire simulation lifecycle; from engaging with stakeholders to gather clear requirements, to modelling, designing and developing SimPy simulations, as well as analysis and communication of results. If you wish to master every aspect of applying simulation to improve business decisions, then Harry is an expert guide.

Dr Peter Malkin Principal Operations Researcher at CloudNC

Working with Harry was an incredible learning experience. His technical mastery of simulation is impressive, but what really sets him apart is his ability to align simulation projects with real-world business challenges. He's also a brilliant teacher; patient, enthusiastic and genuinely invested in helping others succeed.

03 The consultant

Who you will be working with

Harry Munro, Chartered Engineer and simulation consultant

Harry Munro, CEng MIMechE. A Chartered Engineer with more than a decade of simulation practice across transport, mining, defence and energy, for clients from Rolls-Royce and Transport for London to Anglo American; models whose answers have informed decisions worth over £100 million.

The practice is deliberately small. There is no bench of juniors and no account manager; the person on the introductory call is the person who writes the code, runs the training and answers the awkward questions afterwards.

And the measure of success? Not how long you keep us, but how soon you no longer need us. Every model is handed over documented and explained, so that it goes on earning its keep after the invoice is settled.

04 The first step

Book a free consultation.

Half an hour, no obligation and no slideware. Bring the problem as it actually is; you will leave with an honest view of whether simulation can help, whoever builds it.

Diaries not cooperating? Email [email protected] and we will find a time.

Start with a conversation.

A consultation costs nothing and commits you to less. Tell us about the system, the question and the deadline; we will tell you, candidly, what we would do about it.
